We aim to bring together Spanish students at the University of Cambridge and those interested in Spanish culture and language.
We host social events, cultural celebrations, talks by distinguished speakers, and more. Our events are open to all members of the University of Cambridge, and we regularly collaborate with other societies.
As well as our frequent social events, we have hosted distinguished Spanish speakers in the past few years. We are always looking to welcome leaders in their fields to inspire our members. Mr. Zoido, former Spanish Home Secretary and current MEP, gave a talk titled Leadership in a transforming world: Spain and the EU where he shared his insights on the changing geopolitical landscape.
Cambridge University Spanish Society led fundraising efforts for the victims of the DANA floods in Valencia. The donation was made though the local charity Cáritas Diocesana de Valencia.
Mr. Marco visited Cambridge and discussed the relationship between the UK and Spain, his career in diplomacy, and expectations for the Spanish rotating presidency of the EU.
